Private Cardiologist -
Dr Trevelyan obtained his medical degree from Bristol university in 1993 and subsequently trained in general and interventional cardiology in the UK and New Zealand, working in 4 interventional centres. He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in 2006 to set up a new, local angioplasty service. This commenced in October 2008 and now provides a highly regarded service to over 1000 patients per year.
As a National Heart Research Fund fellow Dr Trevelyan completed his MD at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire and the University of Warwick in 2002. He is a BSE accredited echocardiographer. Dr Trevelyan is now the Divisional Medical Director for Speciality Medicine at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and also holds the post of NHS England Cardiac Lead for the West Midlands.
Dr Trevelyan specialises in General Cardiology and has a sub-speciality interest in coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty), echocardiography and trans-oesophageal echocardiography. He has undertaken Private Practice since 2007.

The preferred route for establishing a new appointment is to discuss your condition with your GP, who will then fax a private patient referral to whichever location you wish to be seen at. An appointment will then be made and you will receive this in the post. If you are unable to obtain a GP referral please contact Dr Trevelyan’s private patient secretary who will be able to help you. All initial consultations are 30 minutes long and you will have an ECG done at the time.
Follow up consultations are 15 minutes long and patients can book these directly whenever they are needed.
